In Quarter 1 of this 22-23 school year students enrolled in AVID (Advanced Via Individual Determination) elective in grades 6-12 had a lower (-2.25) absenteeism rate than students not enrolled in an AVID elective.   

Research indicates that attendance is shown to be a  key indicator significantly correlated with high school graduation and starts as early as Kindergarten.  (National Center for Education Statistics)
